28th Annual Conference on Legal Issues in Brain Injury

NABIS thanks conference chairs Simon Forgette, Kenneth Kolpan, Bruce Stern and Stewart Casper for organizing a highly informative and well-attended conference in San Antonio, Texas, April 30-May 2, 2015.

All attorneys and medical professionals involved in brain injury litigation are encouraged to mark their calendars for next year's event, scheduled to take place April 6-9, 2016, at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel.  Details will be posted on this site as more details become available.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The Conference will take place at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in the charming city of San Antonio, Texas. The Westin is located directly on the world famous San Antonio Riverwalk, the number one tourist attraction in Texas. The Riverwalk is a verdant oasis of cypress-lined paths, arched stone bridges and lush landscapes. It gently winds through the city center providing visitors with an array of restaurant options and easy access to San Antionio’s cultural attractions, including of course the famed Alamo! Ride a river cruiser, rent a bike or take your time seeing the sights of the 15 miles of sidewalks and paths on foot!

LEGAL CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The North American Brain Injury Society is pleased to announce that the 28th Annual Conference on Legal Issues in Brain Injury will be held April 30 - May 2, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas, at the Wesin Riverwalk Hotel.
 
Attendees can expect the very latest information on brain injury litigation at this three-day hands-on conference considered a "must attend" event for all professionals involved in brain injury litigation. The conference features an all-star cast of top trial attorneys and medical experts who will present a broad array of practical information covering the latest literature, diagnostic testing methods, rehabilitation, case management, trial techniques and cutting-edge demonstrative evidence. Attorneys will also benefit from an overview of the medical science of brain injury from an outstanding faculty of researchers and clinicians presenting the very latest in brain injury science, treatment and testing.
 
As noted below, the conference will be held in conjunction with the 12th Annual Meeting of the North American Brain Injury Society that will further enhance the educational opportunities available to attendees.
 
 

PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS

This year's Conferrence will feature two special half-day Pre-Conference Sessions on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.  The first, entitled "Neuropsychology for Non-Neuropsychologists:  A Guide to Evaluation, Reporting, and Treatment" will be led by Jeffrey Kreutzer, PhD.  The second, entitled "Neuropsychiatry of Traumatic Brain Injury" will be presened by a panel of experts including David Arciniegas, MD, Marilyn Kraus, MD, Thomas MacAllister, MD, and Jonathan Silver, MD.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION CREDITS

NABIS  will be applying for CLE credits with all states requiring MCLE and expects to have approval.  NABIS will process your MCLE credits for you with each state you need to report.
