2006 Brain Injury of the Americas Conference Miami, Florida • September 14-16, 2006 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JUNE 26th, 2006. The North American Brain Injury Society is pleased to announce that it has received a record number of abstract submissions for the 2006 Brain Injury Conference of the Americas. The submission deadline has now past. NABIS values sessions that present current and best practices, including information that compliments the Conference’s topic tracks (Life-term Living, Medical/Science, Concussion/Mild TBI and Legal Issues) as well as innovative approaches to brain injury assessment, treatment, intervention and rehabilitation. Also encouraged are sessions that deal with international and cross-cultural approaches to TBI rehabilitation. Presentation Formats Posters consist of physical displays of information, usually reporting empirical research. All posters should be arranged in the poster session room prior to the beginning of the Conference. Each poster must have a presenter and presenters must remain with their poster throughout the designated poster session times. Posters need to be removed within 30 minutes of the end of the poster session or they will be discarded. Posters should fit within a 40” x 60” area, and be of a professional quality. NABIS will provide a tri-pod easel, poster board and push pins. Paper Presentations are individual oral presentations that relate to the topic areas of the 2006 Brain Injury Conference of the Americas. An address may report empirical research if it is too complex for effective presentation in a poster. All addresses should be 10-15 minutes in duration.
