Biography:

Ivan Kirov, Ph.D. holds the position of Assistant Professor of Radiology at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Kirov is a neuroscientist with expertise in applications of magnetic resonance spectroscopy to neurological disorders, especially brain trauma. A main concentration of his research is on understanding the metabolism after concussion and investigating the potential of spectroscopy as a brain injury biomarker. Within these topics he has a 10-year track record of peer-reviewed publications utilizing advanced spectroscopic methods to study regional and global damage in mild traumatic brain injury.
