Margaret MacDonald, MD
Margaret MacDonald, MD, completed her MD at Dalhousie University in Canada, followed by post-graduate training and experience in family practice and later psychiatry and psychopharmacology. After moving to the USA, she completed various certifications in biofeedback, neurofeedback and Quantitative EEG and other areas of applied neuroscience. She joined the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center in Nov. 2010 as a Clinical Research Associate, and is now the research team lead. The team is in final recruitment phase for a RCT of a novel non-pharmacologic intervention and data analysis is well underway. Her primary research focus is on detection of physiological change after mild TBI and remediation of functional deficits by targeting neuroplastic responses in the human brain.
