Presenter Biography: Dr. Michael Freeman is a medically trained epidemiologist specializing in forensic medicine and epidemiology. He holds doctoral degrees in medicine, epidemiology, and chiropractic. Dr. Freeman serves as a full Affiliate Professor of Epidemiology and Psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. He is also an affiliate medical examiner with the Allegheny County office of the Medical Examiner (PA). Dr. Freeman has more than 160 published scientific papers, books, and book chapters on forensic medicine and forensic applications of epidemiology, crash-related injuries and death, general and specific causation, and a variety of other areas of interest. He also has a number of publications on the identification of logical fallacy and junk science in expert testimony for the legal profession.
